He spoke about some particles showing up on the weather radar. That was a little more difficult to follow but she wasn't a complete ditz. She at least understood the basics but if they got into extreme weather talk she would have to make an excuse to leave. For some reason she didn't want to be thought of as dumb by the smartest guy in the school. It shouldn't matter that much. He probably had to explain lots of things to people but just the idea of him thinking she was just a dumb cheerleader made her feel bad. A sudden idea to search for weather abnormalities online and then try to hold a conversation about it latter with him came to mind. That wasn't a half bad plan...
"Do you think the particles are some form of pollution or something? Maybe some environmentalist should be called?" As soon as she said that she wished she hadn't. What if it was a completely ridiculous off topic point? Since when did she get nervous in social obligations? She blushed and glanced over to where Mlach was still sitting as if to mentally probe him to call her back over there so she could stop looking like a fool.
